Sunday in Tennessee

Lowri - <snicker> TM looks like a yokel with the rolled up pants.

Kearney - Poor TM is sickly again.  She is sneezing, sniffling and coughing a little.  Neither Lowri nor I got to herd this weekend.  Chase was the only one who got to herd yesterday and he and Treasure were the only ones who got to herd today.

Lowri - Yes, I know TM isn't feeling good, but do you know WHY we couldn't herd?  She didn't want to give us baths!  She was willing to work with us, but apparently bathing us is just too much.  I just don't see why!  I even help her in the tub.  I turn when she tells me to, I shake my coat when she tells me too.  Oh, Kear!  I just want to herd!

Kearney - We will get to herd ducks this week, Lowri.  And next week, the time changes and TM will have more time in the evening.  We will soon be herding ducks every night.  We will also be able to herd sheep as soon as TM feels better.

Besides, not only is TM off color, Aidan had breathing problems this weekend.  He had to make a trip to the emergency room last night.  He is doing much better today.  TM and PR are worried about him.  His traykeya - the breathing tube in his throat - is not good.  They are not sure how best to help him.  Sounds like he gets to be a couch potato.

More New Rules

Lowri - I just found out there is another rule I didn't know about before.  I came into heat yesterday.  TM just told me that I do NOT get to go to Georgia next weekend to train on herding sheep.  Apparently, next week is all about my DADDY, not ME!  Since I will be in standing heat, I don't get to go.  Is this fair?  Don't I have to KNOW the rules before they are sprung on me?  I mean, I might not have come into heat until later if I had known that.

Kearney - Sorry, Lowri.  Ignorance of the rules is no excuse.  I guess Chase and I will get to go without you and Treasure.  Since you are both in heat, you will have to stay home.  Look at it this way, you girls can all hang out together - you know - a Girls' Day Out.  I wouldn't mind if you came with us.  After all, I have been "tutored."  I guess all that higher learning has made it so I just don't care if the girls are in heat.  But your daddy just can't get his mind on sheep if there are "interesting" girls around.

Back to Normal Rations

Lowri - After days of eating extra meals, TM has cut me back to more normal rations.  I really, really, REALLY liked eating two full meals a day!  She has upped my food ration a little, but did you hear that word RATION!  We are on food rationing at our house - BOO!  TM says I look great again and she will continue to monitor my weight carefully.  She doesn't want me getting fat before the Nationals.  I say there is nothing wrong with some extra weight!

Kearney - At least you are getting full rations, Lowri.  TM has me on a diet.  I am sure I am getting skinny!  No one wants a skinny red dog, TM.  I think you should feed me more.

Miss Ginger is here to clean house for TM.  I hope she doesn't notice how much red and blond hair is on the carpets.  I am doing my seasonal shedding.  PR says TM had better brush me out really well before I come back over.  He has blue carpet and my red hair really shows up on it.  Oh well, at least he loves me.
