Missing - Part 2

Kevin -  Whew, TM let us out this morning to potty.  When she called us to breakfast, I came running.  Lowri did not.  TM put on her shoes and stepped out to the back yard.  Lowri had found a different hole under the deck.  She decided to come out for breakfast.  TM just stood and watched her struggle to get out. 

I was going to bet on Lowri as being the most determined, until TM came back around the house with a hammer, nails and wood.  She nailed the wood over the holes.  Lowri is NOT going to get back under the deck.  I saw her eying the shed as her next choice.  TM nodded and said at least she could get back out from under there without squishing puppies.  TM also plans on locking Lowri into the side yard her last week.  The puppies WILL be born in the house!

Lowri - I LOVE the cool dark cave under the deck.  It is PERFECT - except it is a little hard to get into and out of.  I am sure if I could just dig out the opening just a little bit....No?

It is a bit embarrassing.  I can't jump into the car any more.  I put my front feet up and TM has to lift me in.  When we got to the farm tonight, I got on the scale.  Holy cow!  I put on 2 1/2 pounds this week.  I am up 4 1/2 pounds from my normal, svelte self.  TM winced, because it is the next two weeks when the puppies really grow.  She may have to reevaluate her guess of 5 to 7 puppies.

Missing

Lowri - I scared TM today.  She was on her way out to the shed in back and Kevin came running to meet her.  She looked around, no Me.  She called me.  No Me.  She went back into the house to see if she had accidentally left me crated.  Nope, no Me.  She called me, hoping I had gone back to bed.  Nope, no Me.  Back outside.  There was Kevin.  He wanted to join in the game.  No Me.  TM was panicking.  You could hear it in her voice.  She checked the gate - still padlocked closed (all three gates are padlocked).  Her voice went up a couple of notches, more panic.  Finally, I gave in.  I came out from under the deck.  I had moved the roll of wire that was keeping that lovely dark cave from my reach.  Then I crawled underneath and was really enjoying myself.  For some reason, I had a really hard time crawling out.  My big belly made it a tight squeeze.  But I got out.  TM was both really happy and really mad.  I don't get her sometimes.  She even squished the wire back so it will be really hard to get it out again.  I will work on it.

Kevin - I was the GOOD dog, I didn't go under the deck.  I went to see TM as soon as she came outside.

Lowri - You may be the good dog, but I am the DIRTY dog.  There was some really good mud under there.  It was great!

TM here - I was thinking of puppies and plugged in a flash drive.  What fun!  Pictures of the "M" litter's instinct test.  They are the "M" litter because their names all start with Bluefox Elyan M...

All About ME

Lowri - Today is all about ME.  TM loaded us up and we came back to town.  I got fed - twice.  YUM!  TM did a little work, petted on me, did some more work, petted on me some more and so on, all day long.  She even put me up on the grooming table and took my picture.  I am beautiful!

Kevin - I got ...

Lowri - ME, today is about ME.  You can go take an nap. Kevin.  TM says I look about like I did last year.  She is predicting 5 to 7 puppies.

I am six and a half weeks pregnant.

There are NO bunnies in the living room!

Herding and Tracking and Bunnies, Yum!

Lowri - I slept in this morning.  I am getting lots of rest while I can.  TM isn't letting me do much, but I think that is okay - UNLESS Kevin is doing something that involves food or sheep.  He did a lot of that today.  I barked a lot while he was out finding food.

Kevin - I had a great time with the sheep.  TM separated three sheep away from the others.  She wanted to see what I could do with just three light sheep.  I had a GREAT time.  I made those sheep stay with TM.  She was very happy with me!

Later we went out to go tracking.  TM aged my track a full 30 minutes.  It was 300 yards long.  I made short work of it.  I found TM's glove fast.  She gave me lots of treats and told me I was wonderful!

Lowri - Then TM and PR came down to the barn and offed two roosters and three bunnies.  TM cooked a bunny for supper.  Boy, did that smell good!  The roosters went to Thor and Sif.  I think they should have come to me.  I am the one that is pregnant!

Sunday Show

Lowri - I got left behind again!  TM jumped out of bed, walked us, fed us and then left with Kevin.  I got even.  When PR let me out, I ran away.  Lest you worry too much, I only ran into the woods chasing a bunny.  I came back - when I was good and ready. 

TM - Wa, wah wah. 

Lowri - PR tells you too much!  Okay!  I was only gone for two minutes.

Kevin - At the dog show, TM spent a lot of time walking me around and making me stand while people petted on me.  It was okay - since TM wouldn't let me leave.  I did really well in my class.  TM was very happy with me.  The judge still thought I looked like a puppy.  I went Select again. 

When we got home, TM took me tracking.  I did about 225 yards.  TM actually aged my track today for the first time.  It was only 15 minutes old, but that is the oldest one I have done yet.  TM's sister told her to start lengthening my tracks.  She said to age them more too.   She told TM to quit goofing off and get me ready to certify.  She didn't quite say it like that, but that is what she meant.

I did a wonderful job on my track!  I dragged TM through it.  TM forgot where she went at one point.  I insisted I was right and she was wrong.  She tried to send me a different way twice, but I stood my ground and MADE her go my way.  I found the glove!

I also got to herd the sheep today.  I did that well too.  I had a busy day!  Let's see, show dog, tracking dog and herding dog - all in one day.

Lowri - I am snuggled up next to TM in our recliner.  I am getting lots of rest.  I am going to need it!

Dog Show Day

Lowri - TM got up early, fed us, took Kevin and left!  Left me!  Left me at home!  I chilled out with PR once I figured out she was really gone.   I really enjoyed it, but I am not going to tell her that.

Kevin - I went to the dog show.  I had to go.  TM loaded me up and off we went.  I got to play with some agility equipment first.  That was pretty fun.  Then I got groomed.  I still don't like the strange people touching me, but I got lots of good food.

When it was over, TM and I came home.  I thought we were good for the day, but no, TM took me to Tractor Supply and I had to let other people pet on my.  It is a good thing I love TM so much.  I hear we have to go to the show again tomorrow. 

TM did tell me this is my last show for the year.  I get to play with the sheep now.  TM says I will get to go to my very first Herding event in January.  I am going follow in my mother's pawprints.  I am going to have LOTS of Letters!
