Lowri - TM is battered and bruised tonight. She went out and weighed the lambs. They didn't appreciate it.
I told her that she should let me help. I told her that repeatedly - and loudly. She didn't listen. Her bruises are her own fault!
She had my boyfriend help her put the lambs in the corral. They did that this afternoon. Then TM put the animal scale in the chute and ran the lambs in there one at a time. Sounds pretty easy, right? Except for the part where the lambs didn't want to stay in the chute and TM was blocking the only way out. They would lower their heads and charge. TM's shins took the brunt of that. At one point, the young ram charged her. She got down to meet him - kind of like one of those football players. She has a bruise on her cheekbone where the lamb tried to hurtle her. He didn't make it, but he tried twice.
She finally got all six lambs weighed. They are now out in the field eating. TM came up to the house and took a long, hot shower. She is going to be sore in the morning!
