Miss Kathy is Here!

Lowri - Miss Kathy is finally here!  TM picked her up at the airport and brought her back to meet Peyton.  Miss Kathy was wearing her t-shirt that asks "Got Peyton?"  She is a big-time Denver Bronco fan!  Her puppy is Bluefox Elyan MVP, Peyton for short.

Peyton likes her a lot!  He has been giving her kisses.  I think this is a good match.  I am happy that all my children have the very best homes.  We are very lucky to have such nice people to take care of the babies.

On another note, we have baby lambs!  Little Mama had twins.  We think they are both girls.  We will find out for sure on the 1st.  TM will catch them up and tag them.  I can't wait until I get to herd them!

We have a lamb on the trailer right now.  He is going to the processor in the morning.  TM sold him to a nice lady that MC knows.  I just know we have to get up early to get him to the processor before TM goes to work.

Oops, TM mistyped my name

Lowri - My name is GCh (bronze) Mockingbird Elyan Magic Moment, HSAsd HSBd <<---- (d NOT s, big difference!) HIAd.  Poor TM can't type.  TM also fixed it on the last blog entry.  She does not like mistakes.

We Are Home

Lowri - We are home from our herding trials.  I was the GOOD DOG!  TM, it is not nice to snort!

Okay, so maybe I was just barely under control.  I had BAD ducks.  Okay, so maybe I caused them to be bad.  But I did manage to qualify - in ALL my classes.  On Saturday, I qualified on Intermediate Ducks.  I WON my class...all right, I was the only one in my class, but I Q'ed.  That means I won!
In Started Sheep, TM YELLED at me... a lot <G>  I didn't care, I was having too much fun.  I took a 2nd place in a class of eight.  It was good enough to earn a Reserve High in Trial.  TM laughed and laughed.  I sort of got it by default in being one of the last dogs standing at the end of the day.  I also finished my Started Sheep title.  That got me another letter in my name!

I do have to say, TM may be giving me a LOT of grief, but the stock people said they thought I was going to be very good - if I ever grow up.  TM grinned and said I could certainly handle the stock.  She just wishes I would quit goosing them to prove I can stop them from bolting.

Today, I qualified again on Intermediate ducks.  The judge was very impressed with my mad skills.  She liked that I schooled the bad duck - without hurting him.  I scored big!  I went High in Trial!  I STRUTTED my stuff!  I earned MORE letters!  TM decided to go home instead of letting me be wild on sheep.  She says she is going to set it up so that I will get a lesson instead.  That doesn't sound really good.

Anyway, pending AKC approval, my name is now GCh (bronze) Mockingbird Elyan Magic Moment, HSAsd, HSBd, HIAd.  Maybe someday I will have as many letters as my daddy.

Herding Trial Weekend

Lowri - Finally, something about ME!  TM and I are off to a herding trial.  We drove most of the way down tonight, and just have about 40 minutes left to go.  We are in the motel and I am snoozing on the bed.  TM shared her apple with me.  A bite for her and a bite for me.  I didn't think it was fair, but TM got to do all the biting.  She would bite off a piece and hand it to me.  It was a good apple.

Tomorrow, I am going to trial in Started Sheep and Intermediate Ducks.  If I Q in ducks, I will win the class!  TM says that is because I am the only one in that class.  There are 10 of us in the Started Sheep class.  TM says if I listen, I will do very well.  I snorted when she said that.  I plan on doing it my way!

Christmas Eve Puppies - Undecorated

Lowri - We are back on the farm for Christmas.  The Mama finally got some pictures of my baby boys.  I do have to say something about Kevin.  He takes being independent and not listening to an art form.  He goes exploring all by himself.  When TM finally tracks him down, he is all, like "Oh, hi.  Where did you come from?"  He isn't rebellious, he just doesn't really care.  He is guaranteed to frustrate TM for years to come.  He makes me so proud.

Kevin is king of the mountain

A Good Day

Lowri - Today was a good day.  I got to herd ducks and sheep!  It was so much fun.  I got to hold the lambs along a section of fence.  TM wanted to go up and pet them, so I held them for her.  We were NOT in a corner, so that made it way harder - and WAY more fun <G>  TM kept working with me to stay out far enough so I didn't make the lambs try to escape.  I kept telling TM that it is more fun if they DO try to run, but she won the argument - as usual.

MC came out and brought Fable, Story and Dinah.  TM worked both Story and Dinah on my sheep.  Dinah also got to work my ducks.  She was pretty wild when she started out, but she settled down and worked very well.  Story worked the big mama sheep.  TM didn't want them moved much because they are due to lamb.  Story had to work on a long line.  TM got to give her some good lessons on coming.

I got to play with Fable.  She was being so cute.  MC got lots of pictures.  Here are a couple of them.

Friday, Back at the Farm

Lowri - We are back at the farm for the weekend.  This is a good thing, because TM will hopefully take better care of herself.  She has had a migraine the last two days.  That means not much sleep for her.  We got to the farm to find PR had cooked supper.  I didn't get any.  The scraps went into Aidan's bowl.  It smelled tasty.

Tonight, Papa Ron let us out and then grabbed Kevin to snuggle.  He thinks Kevin is too active, not to mention the sharp teeth <G>  TM was cuddling Peyton.  When we all came back in, PR put my children back in the xpen.  He is worried that someone will mistake him for the potty.

The sheep, Big Mama, is due to lamb at any time.  We may have two sets of lambs by Christmas.  That would be very fitting.  I will remind TM to take her camera with us when we go herding.

Dog Food

Lowri - TM made dog food tonight!  I LOVE her!!!!  I got to help clean up.  My boys did NOT get to help, I did.

TM had scored a whole turkey for 49 cents a pound, a Boston butt for 98 cents a pound, 36 POUNDS of liver at 50 cents a pound and other stuff.  She made about 50 pounds worth of dog food.  She is hoping it will last for a while!  The puppies and I have been gulping down the food.   Sadly, that is coming to an end.  I really liked it when I was eating about four times my normal ration.  I didn't even put on any weight!

The Babies

Lowri - Here are some of the pictures of my babies that were taken at the Puppy Party.
Fable is in Knoxville with MC

Adam is at his home in California with Ms. Alden

Peyton is waiting for Ms. Kathy to take him to Denver.

Flutter is in New Mexico with MP

Gimme is in New Mexico with MP

Kevin is staying with us.

Puppy Party

Lowri - Yesterday was the puppy party.  We are EXHAUSTED!  Ms. Alden flew in with her daughter, Ms. Teddy.  They came from California.  They took one look at my Adam and squealed and made happy noises.  They could hardly bear to put him down.  I think it is love.

Puppy love.
Mama Penni flew in from New Mexico.  She left early this morning with Flutter and Gimme.  She had a hard time getting here, cause of really bad roads near her home.  But MC picked her up at the airport and brought her home.  MC, MP and TM did all the paperwork for the puppies AND microchipped them.

G'ma Janet came too!  I was so happy to see her.  I snuggled with her for a while, then I thought I heard food moving somewhere.  G'ma got to hold each puppy as soon as everyone finished looking at it and pictures were taken.  She was the one who discovered that Kevin's microchip was slipping out.  Poor baby had to be re-punctured.  He wasn't happy about it at all!  G'ma snuggled all the puppies and did a very good job of it.

Ms. Kathy came all the way from Kentucky.  She is owned by my sister, Ginger.  She is a lot of fun and knows all the right places to scratch!

Ms. Heidi came too.  She is owned by the gorgeous Rush.  He is so handsome!  I check him out when we get to the shows together.  Ms. Heidi lives in Alabama.

Ms Genie came from South Carolina.  She has one of my boyfriend's children from another woman.  Yes, my boyfriend is a PLAYER!

Birthday Girl

Lowri - I am the birthday girl!  I am three years old today.  I have had so much fun for the past three years.  I started my life with a foster mama.  Her name was Magic.  That is why all of us kids have magical names. My mama was really sick for a while.  But, she got better and is as good as new.  She lives with my G'ma Janet.  Here is a picture that G'ma had taken of us all.  I am in the back right corner.  We were a handsome group!
The Ocho

When I was eight weeks old (somewhere around then), I went home with TM.  Mama Penni and Mama Cheryl were there too.  G'ma Janet had a puppy party - just like we are going to have tomorrow.  TM scooped me up and never put me down after that.  I am not sure that MC and MP even got to hold me.  TM was making sure that I went home with HER.  That has worked out pretty well for me.

Tomorrow, at MC's house, we are having a puppy party for my babies.  Four of them go to new homes.  Three of them are going very far away!  I would be sad, but I am thinking that there will be more food for me.  That is always a good thing.

Anyway, tomorrow I will get to see MP and G'ma Janet.  I think the mama of my sister, Ginger, will be there.  I love going to see people!  I am hoping that people will slip me snacks while TM isn't looking.  We are going to have lamb!  I cannot wait!  I wonder if it is one who sassed me.

Tired Puppies

Lowri - We are all tired, but I think the puppies are worn out!  They didn't move when TM walked into the room.  They didn't move when she crept back in with the camera.  My babies - and they are going to be gone soon!
Adam and Peyton, sleeping in a cinder block.  I do NOT think that is a soft bed.

Fable sleeping on the sock monkey bed.  This girl knows how to get comfortable!

Flutter, sacked out!

Gimme on the soft FitPaws

Kevin in the, um...um...okay, Kevin is sleeping in the bathroom.  Yup, that one is ours!

Last Week at Home

Lowri - This is my babies' last week at home.  Four of them go away on Saturday.  I can't decide if that is a good thing or a very bad thing!  I will miss cleaning up their food bowl and cleaning their faces, but I am not at all sorry there will be fewer of them to share TM with.  She barely has time for me except when we are relaxing on the sofa at night.

My baby, Fable (Callie), has both ears up.  She and Kevin (Ethan) are the first.  Flutter (Gabby) is getting close.  The one who just melts TM into a puddle is Adam.  He can be halfway across the yard when he sees TM.  He rocks back and then charges as fast as he can go toward TM.  He has a look on his face that says, "You have finally come!"  TM scoops him up and then looks for Kevin (the one we are keeping).  He is too busy exploring to give much of a hoot.  When TM gets close, he either takes off or puts on an adoring expression and climbs up on TM.  Suck up!

Gimme is cute as a button.  Her brown eyes just melt you.  Don't be fooled, she is a pistol!  Then there is Peyton (Bailey).  He would like nothing more than to be attached to TM.  He comes running, kisses up, gets between her feet and is just adorable.  TM is frequently seen carrying Adam and Peyton.

The three boys and Flutter are the ones that are suck ups.  They all can't wait to tell TM how much they love her (unless Kevin is exploring).  TM usually has to track down Gimme and Fable.  When she catches up to them, they are all about "Oh, Hi, we were looking for you."  I don't think TM totally buys their act, but she scoops them up and gives them kisses too.

I like it best when they are in their crates and it is just TM and me.  I put my head in her lap and we snuggle.  She strokes me between my eyes.  Life is good!

Last Candids at the Farm

Lowri - These are the last candid pictures of all my babies together at the farm.  Next weekend, four of them leave for their forever homes.  I will get to see Fable as she is only going to MC's house.  But the other three, they are going on airplanes.  I will get to see them in April, but who knows if they will remember me.

Candid Pictures and Head shots

Lowri - Again, my children got all the camera time.  I suspect it won't be long before they are going to have all of my stock time too.

TM - Wah, wa, wa wa wah.

Lowri - REALLY?  Four of my babies are leaving in six days?  Does that mean I will get more camera time???

I did get to go herding today.  I got to work both sheep and ducks!  TM is trying to get me ready for trials the end of the month.  I had a BLAST!  TM said I did a really good job.  I was the "Good Dog!"

But, back to pictures...  Sadly, Peyton's and Kevin's head shots did not turn out.  TM will try again tomorrow.

First Shots

Lowri - My babies all got their first shots yesterday.  Not a peep from any of them.  TM snuggled each one after their shot and then did their toenails.  Double insult!  Gabby was the best at having her toenails done.  TM does the baby toenails weekly, just like mine.  I would say they are going to be show dogs, except TM tries to do Aidan's and Daisy's toenails every week too.  They definitely aren't show dogs.  I guess TM just likes to torture us on a regular basis.

Yesterday, my niece, Story, went RWB at her very first show.  She was exactly 6 months old.  It was a four point major!  She is showing again today.  Then MC is going to stop here on her way home.  They are going to take some pictures of Story and take a close look at Gabby and Callie.  MC has to make a decision between those two.

TM said she would try to get pictures of the babies today.

Talented Carnivores and an Ornament

Lowri - My babies are talented and carnivores!  TM took each one out for a short walk.  I got to go too so I could be an example on how to walk on leash.  I was also there to encourage them to move forward.  TM didn't get any pictures of their first walk on leash.  She claims she didn't have enough hands to hold me, my child and the camera (much less focus and take pictures).  My children all did very well.  There was only one death-roll (Peyton).  Gabby did the best job with the least resistance.

TM gave all the puppies chicken wings.  She cut off the bigger bone first.  I will get those later.  My babies each got the wing tip and the two little bones.  I tried to snatch one as I walked by, but TM wouldn't let me keep it.

I received a present today!  Mr. and Ms. Hopper (and all their dogs) sent me a beautiful ornament.  It is a bowl with MY name on it.  There are six bones in it.  Each bone has the name of one of my babies.  It is beautiful!  Thank you SO much!

Everyone got their own.  Note:  Adam isn't really that much bigger, he just has LOTS of hair!

Gimme is eating hers while guarding another bone.

My very own ornament!  Isn't it beautiful?  I LOVE it!

Finally, an Update!

Lowri - TM says she was very, very busy yesterday.  She didn't have time to even take pictures much less edit them.  Today was a little less busy so TM grabbed the camera.  The children had a good time playing right at dark.  I was stuck in a crate!  Boo!
